Every Muslim believe that life of this world is temporary and a trail for the eternal life i.e. hereafter. Allah emphasizes in Quran again and again on the fact that life of this world is merely a test, in order that He may judge who among us follow the guidance and who doesn’t. Allah says in Quran
“O my people, verily this present life is but a temporary enjoyment; but the life to come is the mansion of firm continuance.”
The Holy Quran, Chapter 40, Verse 39
When we understand the teachings of Islam, we realize that everything what we do in this world is only to be successful in the Afterlife. The world we live is going to end one day, only ALLAH knows when that day is. On that day the decision will be made on the basis of what have we been doing in the present life, those who lead their life according to the decree of ALLAH then there will be Paradise for them and those who opposed the way of life other then Islam will be punished as mentioned in Quran:
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter.”
The Holy Quran, Chapter 3, Verse 85
So, in order to be successful in this life and hereafter one must follow Quran and authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Islam is a complete code of life and if we strictly adhere to the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) then what ever we do will become worship. As we are following the commands and ways laid down by the Creator of this world and universe.
