Teaching and Learning in the Quran

The ultimate source of knowledge for Muslims and for their moral conduct is from ALLAH through the Divine revelation ‘Quran’. In Islam, it is the principal source of learning and to take guidance. The Arabic word Quran is a vocal noun that holds the implication of a "constant reading," "recital," or message that is given an account or listened to over and over again. Therefore, the term may be explained into English as "recitation," "recital," or even "teaching".
God "speaks" the Quran and human beings learn by listening. When reading Quran the tone of it is, as if ALLAH is communicate to every individual. As Quran is intended for each individual that came after the revelation on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The response of believers to ALLAH’s command is mentioned in Quran:
“The messenger believes in whatever is revealed to him by his Lord; so do the believers! They all believe in Allah, His angels, (all) His scriptures, and (all) His messengers. (They say), “We do not differentiate between any of His messengers!” And they say, “We hear, and we obey. (We do seek) Your forgiveness, Our lord! And towards You is our journey’s end!” [The Holy Quran – Surah Al-Bakara 2:285]
Without a doubt, as much as the Quran is concerned, ALLAH instructs by communication with the voice of authority; human beings gain knowledge by listening to ALLAH's say through the text of the Quran and by submitting to his power. Even though in present-day Islam much is made of following the call to the truth, which is referred as dawah in Islam (inviting to truth), in Quranic conversation the person who hears ALLAH's call submits and obeys. We as Muslims must learn Quran and should put emphasize on Quran teaching to our children.
